Fishing Report update: 5/4/2025
Now that we are into the month of May, and the weather has really warmed up - the fishing is really starting to improve by the day. Striped Bass up to 40” are being caught, locally on surface plugs, soft plastics, live bait (atlantic herring, bunker, and mackerel) and also trolling mojo rigs. We have been running about 10-15 miles west to find the main bio mass of fish, but the fishing out front here, locally in shallow water has yielded some great stripers on fly and light tackle up to 30” long. The fishing has really heated up over the past week and I expect it to only get better! The very large Bass (20 - 50lbs) are just starting to push into the sound, as I write this.
